SOCIAL IMPACT

THE GLASSHOUSE ALUMNI

The core of our work revolves around the women who participate in our program. Although we feel a sense of loss when they move on, we take pride in recognising their dedication and perseverance.

As is now a Glasshouse tradition, the day our graduates bid farewell, we honour their journey and progress. Every graduate selects a plant to grace their new home, symbolising growth and new beginnings, courtesy of The Glasshouse. Alongside this, they receive ongoing emotional support and a grant to aid their transition into the next chapter of their lives.

Women in prison often experience abuse and trauma resulting in anxiety and low self-esteem therefore, not all our graduates wish to have a photo but over 30 women have progressed through our programme. We are incredibly proud of our 0% reoffending rate.

“The Glasshouse gave me a reason to get up. The team helped to build my self esteem again and taught me new skills. Prison was an incredibly dark time for me and my family and it has been life changing for us all.”
